Black Twig Pickers

Exploring the stringways of our corner of the mountains, eternal one-song and Turkey in the Straw.

Autumn 2014: New record with Steve Gunn on the way!!

While you're waiting for the new Black Twig Pickers record to land, you might want to check out Mike's new album with Cara or Nathan's new solo album.

We're kicking up a bunch of shows in Virginia and North Carolina, and even with Isak back on the east side of the state line, we'll be back in West Virginia soon. Our monthly throwdowns at the Cellar in Blacksburg, Va., are continuing, and so are regular sets at the Floyd Country Store. Thanks, everyone who's come out to those, and we hope to see you again soon.

It was great to recently be back at the Blue Ridge Music Center and at Camden Park, to pick out a couple highlights. And Sally's set with Michael Hurley at Transfigurations sets a new benchmark for all of us.

There are lots of travels and shows being discussed for the not-too-distant future. As always, look to the shows page or the Black Twig Facebook page for details on live appearances.

Records, records, records -- We still have a very few copies of our most recent album, "Rough Carpenters" on Thrill Jockey. We'll have them at shows or you can order here if you want to hear them

Check the Thrill Jockey FINA site for downloads, as well as the remaining copies of our 2010 album "Ironto Special" and more. (Ed. note: Actually, we now have a few Ironto Specials here at Klang Industries again)

And our usual final note: Even though we no longer have copies of some earlier Black Twig Pickers releases (talking about the ones listed out of stock here at Klang), you likely still can get a very reasonable deal on them here or here.
