Mikel Dimmick Spiral Joy Band: More YouTube madness
Fairly recently posted Dan Brown footage at YouTube documents excerpts of July 2002 sets by the Spiral Joy Band and Heathen Shame and more. The show, which may yet be featured on the long-long-long-planned "Night on the Slopes of Mount Infinity, Vol. 1" comp included a 6-person Spiral Joy lineup, Heathen Shame, the Double Leopards, Hall of Fame and crazed fire action. The clip is labeled "Blacksburg," but it really took place up in the national forest above the one-time coal-mining village of Wake Forest, which was founded by the former slaves from the Kentland plantation, which is close by on the New River and is now a Virginia Tech research farm.
