Friday jamboree in Floyd, plus upcoming
hey all: Black Twig Pickers are honored to be back at the Floyd store dance this Friday, Oct. 24, with our usual 7:30 p.m. slot. Expect fiddle, banjos, guitar, harp, washboards, bones and what-all, hopefully in dance-inducing, chill-displacing combinations, accompanied by miscellaneous yips, yowls and hoots -- come out before the winter settles and shakes turn to shivers.
And mark the calendars (and notify yr hipster pals, or, ahem, anyone with an appreciation for good music) for a couple upcoming events of potential interest:
on Nov. 15, the Black Twigs will be back at the Cellar in Blacksburg, 9 p.m. to midnight, and Jack Rose is coming down to sit in -- we'll be trading sets and playing at least one set together. (Ed. note: Jack's participation was on, then off, but now, with his Weissenborn recovered from the jake, is back on.);
and on Dec. 4, D. Charles Speer & the Helix will be kicking up a ruckus with the Twigs at a house party in Blacksburg, address and time tba.
Stay tuned for more info on both -------
thanks, and see you there, --l;asdkjf
