House party show this Tuesday

yep, this Tuesday, the 12th night of Christmas, the Spiral Joy Band returns in all its ghost-of-house-parties-past spectral splendor for an 8 p.m.-10 p.m. invocation at 209 Giles St., Blacksburg.

Here's what Nathan has to say about it:

mikel dimmick returns from the great white north (madison, wi) with a salon-style performance with the 'classic quartet' version of the spiral joy band.

the quartet will settle into ritual performance at 8pm sharp! i know you kidz see 'sharp' and make scoffing noises or roll yr eyes or whatever but let's get serious: members of the band have other engagements late into the eve and this 8-10 bracket is on some real sh**. think of it this way: 2 hours of zoned explorations of the great no-mind with 4 more hours to droog up the bars and wake the town from it's post-holidaze hangover.

we'll be exploring sounds from the upcoming 'little sparrow' cd and the 'pleasure is the headlight' dbl lp. there will be no amplification.
