Nathan Bowles presents a carnival of percussion oddities Oct. 28 @ 710 Toms Creek Road, Blacksburg, Va., Mark & Mary's cabin/freestore. The fun includes:

Venison Whirled (Lisa cameron from Austin solo percussion.  Lisa
has been legendary in Austin circles for years as a former drummer in
one of Roky Erickson's post-13th Floor Elevators groups. Her set is not
to be missed. Lately she has recorded with Tom Carter of Charalambides)

Black History Moth (improv percussion project from Nathan of black twigs
and spiral joy band; has previously included members of yellow cyrstal
star and other spbxmplfr bros, but is now solo)

Twilight Memories (Washington, DC, duo doof unit.  Parental advisory --
expect broken glass, blown reeds, maybe naked private parts. No promises)
